How to: Set Up Tare Handling for Scales

Tare calculation can be set up to be calculated by scale or in Business Central. To calculate tare in Business Central, open the Hardware Profile in use. Open the Scale FastTab and select the Tare Calculation in Nav check box. If the scale is handling tare calculation this field is left unchecked.

To set up tare weight for item:

• Open the Retail Item Card for the item.
• On the POS FastTab, set the Tare Weight (click Show more to see this field).
